Inner West Magic downed North Canberra Untouchables 6-3 in the sole 2016 Men’s PUMA F-League match, further tightening up the leaderboard with Vic Vipers (27), Dural (19), Inner West (16), East Coast (16) and Galaxy (14) locked in a top-four dogfight.

Magic beat Untouchables

Inner West Magic were methodical in their 6-3 defeat of North Canberra Untouchables at Valentine Sports Park on Saturday morning.

In the only F-League match played over the weekend Inner West raced to a 3-0 halftime lead, Daniel Vellonio and Harrison Bagot goals straight after the break extending the Magic advantage to 5-0 before North Canberra finally kicked into gear.

Untouchables scored three times before Inner West’s Joel Iannacito put the matter to rest with a late goal making it 6-3 and moving Magic into third position on the points table (with the most number of games of any team still to play).


This week’s games

This weekend’s 2016 Men’s F-League is a sizzler with North Canberra Untouchables versus Boomerangs FS in a second Act-derby at the AIS Training Halls on Friday night (6.30pm) as Inner West Magic face Dural Warriors at Sydney’s Valentine Sports Park (7.30pm).

On Saturday afternoon at the AIS Training Halls East Coast Heat play Boomerangs (12.45pm) and North Canberra (4.15pm), while South Brisbane play Galaxy FC in the second Queensland-derby at Eagle Sports Complex (2.45pm). It’s Dural’s turn up north on Sunday afternoon with fixtures at Logan Metro Sports Complex against Galaxy (1.15pm) and South Brisbane (4.45pm).
